Right Aligning Dates in Word

I read a lot of resumes, and one of the more common problems I see is that the dates are not aligned properly. Don’t get me wrong; it’s not a huge deal, but it does make the resume look cleaner and more organized if you right align the dates. And anytime you can make your resume look better, you should do it.

It’s a simple process to right align dates on your resume and it only takes a few minutes, but it seems to baffle a lot of people. This short video will show you how to set the alignment for dates and anything else. I recorded this in Microsoft Word for a MAC. I’m pretty sure it’s similar on a PC, but if you’re working with Pages for a MAC the process is different. I’ll do another video to show how to do this on Pages.

You can see the video on YouTube.

Okay, Let’s Fix This Resume

Now doesn’t that look a hell of a lot better than it did before?

You should be able to do this without any trouble and it’s worth the few minutes of time it takes.

I realize that was a brief run through the process but most everybody hates long videos so I kept it as short as I could. I also wrote this up in text format, so you can download the whole thing using the link below.
